These days

These days have been very hectic for all of us!! Drew was just getting used to beautiful summer days on the beach and at the pool, but now that's been spoiled with nearly two weeks of rain:( And poor Mitch is just trying to keep up with the crazy lawn due to all the rain!

I have another doctor appointment this week (which my mama will be joining me for since Mitch is busy) and boy, do I have questions!!! I feel like I need to sit down & write them all down so I don't forget:) Dr Mehta usually scolds me at my visits because I tend to 'diagnose myself' and not call her office. She will usually glance over at Mitch like, "Have this woman call me!!" :) But with the Labor & Delivery background, I find that I can figure out what's going on - except this last month. This child has me completely confused...and sometimes tearful:) It's so crazy how two pregnancies will be so completely different! So Dr Mehta, you should be proud of me this week - I WILL be coming with questions:)

This last weekend was spent in the Quad Cities. We had several parties to attend & made another family weekend out of it! Sorry there are no pictures, but my camera battery had died. Drew found himself playing in the rain A LOT, bouncing in a garage bounce house, and roughing around in "mud clothes" all weekend! He had a blast! He was almost comatose while sleeping that I put my hand over his nose just to verify that he was still breathing:)- Don't we LOVE deep, sleeping babies!! :)- But myself, on the other hand, found myself contracting through the weekend. Mitch & I did some shopping Saturday & Sunday that was consistently stopped by contractions. Mitch, being the wonderful attentive husband that he is, wanted to immediately stop & return home so I could put my feet up. ME?! I was like, "No way! I'll breathe through it. It will stop & then we can keep shopping!" :)- Hey, we don't get much alone time shopping, so I wasn't going to let some contractions stop me:)

So now I'm back to work sitting in my chair with my feet (literally) up! All the memories of the final days of pregnancy have quickly rushed back to me - especially the pain of a contraction! "Oh yea, I do remember them hurting this bad" :) God is so gracious to have the mind completely forget the pain of childbirth!

This week we're also blessed with the return of my mom. She & I are in a wedding this coming weekend & have lots of fun 'girl time' scheduled! Can't wait, mimis!! And to make sure Mitch isn't left out, he's getting some guy time in too! :)-
