Birthday Week!!

Hard to believe my baby's gonna be two years old on Good Friday!! AND - his golden birthday no less:) He's constantly growing and changing so fast now, sometimes it seems hard to keep up!! We've been so thankful for the weather perking up so that we can spend lots of time outside running off all his little energies! Drew has even moved out of his crib (making way for little brother, Teegan) and has been sleeping in his BIG BOY BED!! Mitch & I just laugh because now he just walks out of his room when he's done sleeping - no more crying for mommy and daddy:) We've got all sorts of plans coming up for the Spring and Summer!! We hope to be putting together baby Teegan's room soon with paint (once I can make up my mind on what I want!!) and furniture. My mom's coming this week to help sort clothes, etc! Cannot wait for the extra help!! I've attached some new photos & videos - so enjoy!

O yeah...and it's a boy!!! Please meet Teegan Thomas Williams:) We couldn't be more excited for the precious addition to our family!!

And on another note, Mitch has finished the basement!! ABSOLUTELY love the new look:) Way to go, babe!!

Weekend Recap...

Well, we've had a busy weekend!! Mitch was busy this week prepping the floor to lay the pad and carpet. Unfortunately, he got some major injuries to his finger in the meantime:( Papa Gy came up and helped lay the pad and will be back several times this week to finalize all the touches... oh yes, and Drew (with the help of Handy Manny tools)also came to the rescue! And today, we headed to Cedar Rapids to spend a long overdue day with our good friends, Jeff and Rachael and their kids. We spent an awesome day catching up & enjoying the beautiful 60 degree weather:) The kids were able to play outside with sidewalk chalk and squirt guns. And Jeff & Mitch were busy having very competitive adult Nerf Gun wars! They taped off blue squares and were determined as to who was going to win:)- It was more fun watching these guys be kids than actually the kids themselves. :)- This week has very exciting things coming up: Baby Williams will declare itself on St Patty's Day. And the finalized basement on Wednesday!! YEAH:)- Thank you, Papa for ALL your help! We couldn't have done it without you!! Who says adults can't have fun?! You know it's a good play date when you look like this afterward... Mitch hard at work Basement finished with pad...carpet next! O, this isn't helping?? The A Team!!

What's New

Drew: Been very, very busy playing with friends and cousins over the weekend. And, unfortunately, fighting a bit of a cold that backed up into his tear ducts. No pink eye, but the poor kid looks like he's been punched in the eye due to redness and swelling. We're just thankful that regardless of how he looks, he still has his sweet, friendly personality:)- He enjoyed his first night of babysitting with girls other than family! Mommy and Daddy enjoyed a night out together at a firemen's cancer benefit at the Thunderbirds Hockey game... while Drew was adored by two 12 year-old girls! It was so cute when we came home to find him (literally) so neatly tucked away in bed. Normally, you would find Drew sprawled out in his bed with blankets, puppies and books all over the bed... Nope, not last night. He was lying on his back (with his head on his puppy as a pillow) and snuggly wrapped in by his comforter and wasnt moving:)- Too cute! I would've taken a picture but my camera battery was dead:(

Baby: I am now 21 weeks along & am looking forward to our ultrasound next week. We have been strongly convinced that it's a boy, so we're excited to finally find out!! I can't wait to put his/her room together & turn Drew's room into a BIG BOY's room:)-I have been feeling great, despite last week's events, and am feeling truly pregnant now as it's difficult to bend over, tie my shoes, etc... basically, whatever requires seeing over the belly:) So stay tuned for either Baby Boy or Baby Girl...

Mitch: How wonderful it is to have such a willing handyman of a husband!! He put beautiful french doors into our basement last week & is now working on replacing the basement carpet. His BIG task this week will be to rip up the carpet & pad with Helper Drew!! Helper Drew is rather excited and has all his Handy Manny tools out, while daddy may be a little more apprehensive:) But excited.... so thanks, babe! You're the best!

Me: Just trying to keep sane with being a wife, mommy, nurse and student. This semester has been very emotionally, physically, and mentally challenging for me. I will be taking two semesters off with the baby coming. I don't want to miss out on precious times because I'm studying somewhere in a coffee shop... I want to treasure all the little moments with our beautiful, ever-growing family! I am just thankful that the Lord continually keeps me focused 'on the goal' and I can see it coming sooner every week!! Come on summer:) I can't wait to spend tons of time with my husband and children (crazy to say that!) playing, having picnics, boating and travelling. We have big plans for the summer & wish it was here...but the wait makes it more sweet.

We had a great weekend in the Quad Cities celebrating Miss Ava's sixth birthday!! She's growing so fast! She was just a little girl at our wedding & is now a big school girl! Time goes fast... She & Drew are the best of friends & is so cute to see them interact & have 'secret hideouts' together... Sorry, again no pictures because my camera died & even though I keep saying that, I still haven't placed it on the charger:) We are looking forward to Papa coming up & helping daddy with the carpet... love you guys!

Unexpected Visit

Well, we had a little bit of a scare today. I have been having extreme pain in my right calf for the past several days, only to find that it was worse with each day. Today was kind of the last day I could handle it...I wasn't sleeping well with it, and having constant pain with walking or even sitting.

So I called my OB's office to only find that they wanted to see me immediately to evaluate for a blood clot. I was surprised to find that with pregnancy, you are naturally 10% higher risk for getting a blood clot in a leg related to pregnancy hormones.

So my physician evaluated me & felt that my exam was positive. So she ordered an ultrasound - which was NEGATIVE!! Praise the Lord!! I was very nercous as a blood clot in pregnancy would be quite dangerous and would require me to be on bedrest. Which I think we all know how I would handle being told I can't do anything...but lay around:) But thankfully, we don't even have to worry about that!! She is just going to increase my supplements & recheck me in 2 weeks when I have my ultrasound:)-

So thanks to all for your prayers!! They were answered & in a very short time!!

P.S. Baby's heartbeat is great and still moving like crazy!! So he/she is quite comfy regardless of the unexpected activity!! :)-
