Mr. Snowman

DREW:
"Dear Mr. Snowman,
Here I am lookin all cute in my snow gear, but haven't been able to use it. I am growing rather quickly and my snow boots and suit are quickly becoming too small. If you could maybe let the sun come out & warm up the temperatures a little bit, I would sure appreciate it. I don't wanna keep falling down because everything is a sheet of ice...including the snow!
I can only watch "NONAH" (aka. Veggie Tales, Jonah) so many times (although I think 4 times a day is perfect!), throw bowls of cereal down the stairs so many times, and oh yea...get 'time out's' so many times a day because I just have SO MUCH ENERGY...I just wanna go outside!!
Thank you..."

Pregnancy Brain...

So my last week has been one of extreme ups & downs because of...my pregnancy brain. Or some days the feeling of the lack of one at all. I have become the most forgetful, spacy woman that I don't even recognize myself! I have always been proud that I can manage a million things at once...until now.

For example, within a 24hr period, I not only managed to lose my textbook with countless power points inside (of my toughest class no less!) but also misplaced my... wedding set!! NO JOKE!! I MISPLACED the most precious thing my hubby's ever given to me(other than our babies!)! I was mixing together hamburger patties & didn't want gross meaty chunks in my diamonds, so I took off the ring (which I would never recommend to anyone!) and set it on the shelf next to the sink. And yes, you've guessed it...it somehow slipped down into the garbage disposal. But have no fear, my Hunky Man of a Husband fished it out!! He found it between two pipes, covered in cream of mushroom sauce...yuck:) Now, that's love:)

So, all I have to say to you, crazy prego brain, is that I've had enough forgetfulness in the past 24 hours to last the rest of the pregnancy. Thanks:)

P.S. I've attached a cute family picture from Christmas Caroling last month!

Winter Getaway

So all the chaos of the holidays was over & Mitch & I decided it was time for one thing...a winter getaway for just the two of us!! And that we did... we rented a log cabin out in the middle of nowhere outside of Galena. The cabin was set on the grounds of a beautiful bed-n-breakfast, to which we enjoyed all the amenities of:) We were served breakfast out to the cabin, had our mini fridge stocked with refreshments all day, and so many other wonderful touches! The cabin was absolutely perfect! We had a fireplace, whirlpool tub, full kitchen and entertainment system that it made leaving very difficult:) Drew enjoyed his own weekend getaway at Noanies & Dev's (aka...Joanie & Dave). Noanie says he walked around the house all weekend saying, "mommy, daddy..." just waiting for us to pop up around the corner.

Drew is continuing to grow (literally) every day. This child has sprouted up so much that people can't believe he's only 21months old. He's losing that baby face and becoming a little boy more every day...and a big brother more every day:)

Baby Williams is doing well! I am in my fourth month of pregnancy and so glad to be here! I had a rough first trimester that I wondered if it would ever end...but thankfully, there's been a light at the end of the sickness tunnel:) I was measuring small (which I have never heard that statement in my life re: my size!), so my doctor is wanting to wait longer to do our first ultrasound. We were planning on finding out about this little baby (boy/girl?) in 4 weeks, but now it will be 8 weeks. My doctor would rather have the baby bigger rather than smaller to evaluate its heart, kidneys, lungs, etc.... so again, patience will be a virtue:) We can hardly wait to see you, baby Williams....

P.S. Mimis - Drew is imaginary talking to you here at the doctor's office! It was quite the animated phone conversation:)
